Lubbock Christian again swept the Sooner Athletic Conference Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week honors, as second-baseman Amanda Myers and pitcher Alyssa Gutierrez win for Feb. 22-28.
Myers, a sophomore from Riverside, Calif., led the Lady Chaparrals to a 4-0 week with a .500 average with two home runs, seven RBI and three runs. She slugged 1.375 and had one double.
Gutierrez, a senior from Norwalk, Calif., threw 12 innings without allowing an earned run while striking out eight. She picked up wins over Bacone and USAO.
