Sylvester Spicer canned two high-pressure free throws with 2.6 seconds left in overtime to give Rogers State a 72-71 victory over Southern Nazarene in the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals in Bethany Friday.
The shots by Spicer nullified a couple of big shots by SNU.
Jon West rebounded a missed three-pointer and put it in back in with 17 seconds left in overtime to give SNU a 71-70 lead before Spicer got fouled on a put-back.
Xavier Alexander scored on a reverse layup with three seconds left to tie the score at 64-64 and Lance Sullivan missed on a halfcourt heave at the buzzer to send the game to overtime.
Spicer led RSU with 15 points, while Lance Sullivan added 13, Theo Davis and Deveric Taylor had 11 each and John Boyd added 10.
Alexander had 22 points and 11 rebounds for SNU, followed by Daniel White with 12 and Jeremy Lightfoot with 10.
SNU, now 25-7, will get an at-large bid to the national tournament.
The Hillcats, now 21-10, will play at 8 p.m. Saturday for the conference crown and a trip to the national tournament, contesting John Brown for those prizes.

JBU 77, LCU 60
John Brown ended Lubbock Christian's stay at the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament with a strong shooting effort and a 77-60 semifinal win in Bethany Friday.
The Golden Eagles shot 56 percent from the field and dominated the backboards with a 37-21 rebounding edge.
Adrian Miller and Ryland Allen scored 14 each and Sam Bartlett had a dozen points and 11 rebounds for JBU with Andrius Mikutis chipping in 13.
Douglas Williams, Kenny Hewitt and Justin Tatum had 12 each for the Chaparrals, who ended their season at 14-16.
The Golden Eagles will play for the Tournament championship and an automatic berth to the NAIA Tournament at 8 p.m. Saturday, opposing Southern Nazarene or Rogers State.
