John Brown is headed to Kansas City and the men's NAIA Tournament as Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament champions after beating Rogers State 73-58 in the finals Saturday in Bethany.
John Brown held the Hillcats to 15 first-half points and then out-scored Rogers State 50-43 in the second half.
The Golden Eagles shot 67 percent in the second half after holding RSU to 18 percent shooting in the first.
Davaughn Jackson and Coleson Rakestraw had 16 points each, tournament MVP Abel Galliguez added 15 and Adrian Miller scored 11.
Sylvester Spicer had 20 points for Rogers State.
The Hillcats finish the season at 22-11. The Golden Eagles will learn of their first round NAIA National Tournament opponent next week. They leave Bethany with a 24-9 record.
