OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma City University takes on Oklahoma State in a men's basketball exhibition 7 p.m. Nov. 1 at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, Okla.

Six-time NAIA Division I men's hoops champion OCU last met Oklahoma State in an exhibition Nov. 8, 2005 in Stillwater, Okla. The Stars have faced Mississippi State the past four seasons in exhibition play.

Oklahoma State owns a 14-6 all-time record against OCU. The Stars lost 107-64 in 2005. In the last regular-season meeting between the two schools, Oklahoma State defeated OCU 76-64 in the All-College Tournament in Oklahoma City on Dec. 29, 1982.

OCU coach Kevin Morrissey and Oklahoma State director of player development Tommy Wade worked together to schedule the game. Wade came to Oklahoma State to be on Travis Ford's staff from OCU after serving three years as assistant to Ray Harper from 2005-08. Wade aided the Stars to two national championships and a national runner-up finish.

"We are very fortunate to have this opportunity to play Oklahoma State University," Morrissey said. "In particular, coach Tommy Wade was very instrumental in helping schedule this game, so I would like to thank him. Obviously it will be a major test for our players, and we are looking forward to the challenge."

OCU went 17-10 last season and reached the NAIA Division I Tournament for the 12th time in 13 years. Oklahoma State posted a 22-11 record last season, making the NCAA Tournament.

The Stars will see their first action of the 2010-11 season against Oklahoma State. OCU meets Central Oklahoma at 7 p.m. Nov. 4 at Abe Lemons Arena in another exhibition. The Stars make their regular-season debut vs. Ozark Christian (Mo.) at 2 p.m. Nov. 6 at Abe Lemons Arena. For the complete OCU schedule, click here.

OCU has won NAIA national championships in 1991, 1992, 1994, 1996, 2007 and 2008.
