Oklahoma Baptist's Verone Chambers and Oklahoma Christian's Makenzie Brown are Sooner Athletic Conference Women's Track and Field Athletes of the Week for April 9-15.

Chambers, a senior from Clarendon, Jamaica, won the John Jacobs Invitational 400 meters in an NAIA-best 52.71 seconds. She also was part of the NAIA's top 4x100 relay time at 45.44 and the meet-winning 4x400 relay at 3:44.93.

Brown, a freshman from Savanna, Okla., placed sixth in the discus at 44.43 meters for the third-best NAIA throw of the season. She also placed 22^nd in the hammer at 24.15 meters.
