Oklahoma Baptist's Jura Levy and Wayland Baptist's LaTanya Nation are Sooner Athletic Conference Women's Track and Field Athletes of the Week for April 16-22.
Levy, a freshman from Kingston, Jamaica, won the Michael Johnson/Dr Pepper Classic 100 meters at Baylor with a US Qualifying time of 11.27, beating Team adidas' Tiffany Townsend, who has the third best US time this season. Levy, who has the fastest NAIA time in the 100 this season, was also on the second-place 4x100 relay and third-place 4x440 yard relay teams.
Nation, a senior from Clarendon, Jamaica, finished ninth in the triple jump and 14th in the long jump, also at Baylor. Her triple jump of 37-11.5 is the ninth-best mark in the NAIA this season.
