KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 21, 2012) - Oklahoma Christian golfers Anna Arrese Cortadellas and Sarah Harper have been honored on the NAIA All-America women's teams, which were announced Monday.
Arrese Cortadellas, a freshman from Barcelona, Spain, was named to the 15-player first-team list. She finished as the runner-up in the NAIA Championship last week at Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville, Tenn.
Arrese Cortadellas had the lowest stroke average (74.15 in 13 rounds) of any NAIA women's golfer and received the NAIA golfer of the week award twice this spring, the only player to accomplish that feat. She was one of two freshmen on the first-team list.
Harper, a junior from Duncan, was one of 15 players on the honorable mention list. She had a 77.86 stroke average in 21 rounds this season.
The Lady Eagles, in the program's first season, finished sixth at the NAIA Championship, the best of any Sooner Athletic Conference team.
