Oklahoma Baptist University outside hitter Kristin Pressley headlines the initial list of Sooner Athletic Conference Volleyball weekly awards as Player of the Week.
Pressley is joined by OBU's Sabra Clark as Setter of the Week and Gabby Samuels as Libero of the Week, with Lubbock Christian's Brittany Johnson taking Hitter of the Week.
Pressley, a 5-11 junior from Mansfield, Texas, averaged a double-double with 54 kills and 40 digs in OBU's 4-0 week. She had 17 kills each in wins over No. 17 Kansas Wesleyan and national poll vote-getter Wiley College. Pressley had three aces and seven blocks as well.
Johnson, a 6-1 senior middle blocker from Lubbock, Texas, had a .364 attack percentage and 47 kills in four wins for the Lady Chaps. She also had 18 blocks on the week. She had 13 kills and eight blocks in the win over No. 15 MidAmerica Nazarene.
Clark, a senior setter from Andover, Kan., averaged 9.42 assists in 12 sets for the Lady Bison, including 34 in the win over Kansas Wesleyan. She also had 17 kills and 26 digs on the week.
Samuels, a senior libero from Norman, Okla., had a service percentage of 91.1 and a reception percentage of 98.8 for the week. She had 82 digs for a set average of 6.83. She also had two aces for the Lady Bison.
