University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma forward Nicolas Alberto is Sooner Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week, while Oklahoma City University goalkeeper Joe Shulberg gets Defensive Player of the Week.

The awards are the first of the season.

Alberto, a junior from Paris, France, scored the game-winning goal in double overtime to give seventh-ranked USAO a 2-1 win over second-ranked Baker in the NAIA Game of the Week. It was Alberto's first game as team captain.

Shulberg, a junior from Huntingdon, England, extended Baker's woes with a shutout with two saves in a scoreless draw.
