Lubbock Christian's Nick Gorrie and USAO's Bryan Byars are Sooner Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, for Oct. 1-7.

Gorrie, a junior defender from Kilmomarch, Scotland, scored two goals in a 3-1 win over St. Gregory's and another in a 3-2 win over Oklahoma Baptist. He had the game-winner in both matches.

Byars, a sophomore goalkeeper from Oklahoma City, led the Drovers to shutout wins over Rogers State and John Brown, collecting three saves in both contests and is ranked No. 1 in the NAIA with a .180 goals against average.
