Wayland Baptist's Grecia Rivera is Sooner Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, headlining the list of honorees for Oct. 15-21.
Joining Rivera in the honors this week are Hitter of the Week Skyler Strahm of Oklahoma Baptist, Libero of the Week Nikki Ralston of Lubbock Christian and Setter of the Week Sabra Clark of Oklahoma Baptist.
Rivera, a sophomore outside hitter from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, averaged 4.43 kills and 3.43 digs during a 1-1 week for WBU. She had a 16-kill, 16-dig outing in a win over John Brown. She also had a .290 hitting percentage, four assists, three aces and a block assist on the week.
Strahm, a senior middle blocker from Royse City, Texas, had a .500 attack percentage and averaged 3.2 kills per game in wins over Mid-America Christian and Oklahoma City. She also had three blocks on the week.
Clark, a senior from Andover, Kan., averaged 10.6 assists to go with six kills and 15 digs on the week.
Ralston, a senior from Bakersfield, Calif., averaged 4.1 digs per game and moved into fifth on the all-time digs list with 1,781 at LCU. The Lady Chaps were 2-1 on the week with wins over Wayland Baptist and John Brown.
