Wayland Baptist's Shahala Hawkins headlines the week's Sooner Athletic Conference volleyball awards as Player of the Week for Oct. 22-28.

Hawkins is joined by Hitter of the Week Chelsey Driskill of Wayland Baptist, Setter of the Week Natasha Giacomazzi of Wayland Baptist and Libero of the Week Nikki Ralston of Lubbock Christian.

Hawkins, a freshman outside hitter from Denver City, Texas, averaged 3.7 kills per set with a .516 attack percentage in wins over Southwest, Oklahoma City and Mid-America Christian. She also contributed 11 digs, five aces and six blocks.

Driskill, a freshman middle blocker from Lubbock, Texas, averaged 3.1 kills and had a .338 attack percentage. She had four blocks and 11 digs.

Giacomazzi, a junior from Canyon, Texas, averaged 12 assists per set to go with four kills, five aces and 33 digs.

Ralston, a senior from Bakersfield, Calif., led LCU to wins over MACU and OCU with 5.29 digs per game. She also had two aces and had no receiving errors. She also surpassed the 1800 career digs mark.
