Trevecca jumped on SNU early and never relented, taking a convincing 19-point halftime lead of 46-25. The Crimson Storm was within 15 points in the second half, but got no closer as the Trojans pulled away for the 29-point victory.
SNU struggled from the floor all game long, finishing at a dismal 24% from the floor for the game (15/62), 25% from three (5/20), and 81% from the free throw line (21/26). Trevecca hit 44% from the floor (31/70), 27% from three (6/22), and 81% from the line (17/21). SNU was out-rebounded by the Trojans 49-42 and the Crimson Storm turned the ball over 18 times in the game.
Individually, SNU had no players in double figures and were led by Kinzie Glover and Ashley Jackson’s nine points apiece. Lana Keith and Lauran Hart added seven points apiece.
Trevecca was paced by Mariska Reed’s 17 points. Abby Lawson added 14, Kristin Archie finished with 13 and K.C. Van Atta and Jennifer Bognar added ten apiece.
