Ten Sooner Athletic Conference women’s players made the NAIA All-America list in some form, the NAIA announced Tuesday.
Viola Beybeyah of Oklahoma City University was the lone first-team selection and only Betsy Simmons of Oklahoma Baptist University made the second team.
The third team included Kinzie Glover of Southern Nazarene University, Sierra Wilcox Lovorn of Lubbock Christian and Oklahoma Christian’s Kailan DeCamp.
Making the honorable mention list were Carolyn Manning of LCU, Heather Graham of OBU, Chelsea Ledbetter of OCU, Yesi Castillo of USAO and SNU’s Tejana Elmore.
Beybeyah, the SAC Player of the Year, averaged 12.2 points per game. Simmons, a first-team All-SAC pick, led the league in blocked shots and averaged 11.9 points per game.
Glover, a first-team All-SAC pick, averaged 11.9 points per game. Lovorn led the SAC in assists and had 11.8 points per game as a first-team All-Conference selection. Also a first-team pick at the conference level, DeCamp led OC with 13.2 points per game.
