The 20-player team recognizes outstanding play from the 2007-08 season. The team was created this year in honor of golf-legend Jack Nicklaus, who stands as a long-time supporter of collegiate and amateur golf. Nicklaus was a Big Ten Conference and NCAA champion at Ohio State University.
Buccolo joined Sam Cyr of Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) and Cory Renfrew of British Columbia (Canada) as the team's lone NAIA representatives.
A four-time NAIA and Ping All-American, Buccolo won a school-record 10 tournaments in his time at Oklahoma Christian. He helped the Eagles to a runnerup finish at this year's NAIA National Tournament, the school's ninth straight top-four performance at the event.
A star on and off the course, Buccolo became OC's first golfer to be named an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American this year. The Tandill, Argentina, native also reaped three NAIA Scholar-Athlete tags in his time with the Eagles.
