The USAO Drovers fell in the opening round of the NAIA National Tournament to the Hastings College Broncos with a final score of 1-2.

"They were (the) better team tonight. They deserved the result," Head Coach Jimmy Hampton said in a statement of the Broncos. "We played as poorly as we have played all season … I'm disappointed we did not play better."

The Drover struggled to make shots during most of the game. Both teams battled without a score until the 44-minute mark, when the Broncos made their first.

The Drovers spent the beginning of the second half on the attack for the first time in the night, and Nikola Cakarevic was able to find the net for a Drover goal at about minute 60.

Eighteen minutes later, a foul in the box led to a Bronco penalty kick, which goalkeeper Ryan Mcentee was unable to stop.

Hastings College outshot the Drovers 20 to seven. Mcentee had 10 saves in the game.

The loss eliminated the Drovers from the remainder of the national tournament. They ended the season with at 17-2-1 record, giving the Drovers their best record of the 11-year program.
