Kissimmee, Fla.- The Mid-America Christian University Evangels continue their post season winning streak, stunning the No. 1 seed Mid-Continent University (Ky.) 3-2 on Wednesday evening at Austin-Tindall Regional Park.

With the wind at their backs, the eighth seeded Evangels (11-8-1) cruised through the first half taking the lead in the fourth minute of play. Garrett Dresel buried a penalty kick past MCU goalkeeper Alexis Mina making it a 1-0 game.

In the 16th minute of play midfielder Jeremiah Huff rounded out the scoring for the Evangels finishing a cross from Dresel. MACU took a 3-0 lead into intermission.

The Cougars got on the board in the 59th minute with Wayne McCarron netting a cross from Marcio Das Neves making it a 3-1 game.

MCU made it interesting in the 68th minute with McCarron getting his head on a cross from Keane Bennett; putting the Cougars within reach only trailing 3-2.
