Lubbock Christian pitcher Paul Gonzalez and University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma first baseman Luke Krobath were named Sooner Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week for Feb. 15-21.
Gonzalez, a junior from Fort Worth, Texas, tossed a two-hit shutout against Texas-Brownsville, recording seven strikeouts against one walk. It is his second complete game shutout of the season.
Krobath, a senior from Langley, B.C., batted .583 with a 1.250 slugging percentage. He averaged two RBI per game and had six runs, two doubles and two home runs for the week in leading the Drovers to a 4-0 week with sweeps of Sterling and Mount Mercy.
